Labor Day
2013 • Paramount Pictures
Dir. Jason Reitman
In our fifth collaboration with Jason Reitman, we created a subtle blend of rural driving shots to help set the tone with composer Rolfe Kent's haunting and dreamlike score.
Labor Day's lush cinematography and nostalgic ambience inspired this sequence. It takes the audience on a summer drive through the back roads of Massachusetts, and culminates in a shot of the home where the film largely takes place.
Provided with beautiful driving footage, we edited and composited various shots with multi-layered cross-dissolves to create the sequence.
