Sam de Jong’s vibrant feature about a street-wise girl in the Bronx struggling to make her dreams come true exhibits stop-motion animation over live-action footage throughout the film.

The iridescent color and energy literally pop off the screen in the squiggly animation (by Gareth Smith and Jenny Lee) that envelops the title character and punctuates the visuals with inventive wipes, washes, graphics and inserts.
