We are Gareth Smith and Jenny Lee, husband and wife directors and designers based in Portland, Oregon with a passion for filmmaking, animation, and design.
We specialize in inventive, hand-crafted design for film, television and streaming projects. We collaborate closely with our clients to infuse the work with a strong sense of storytelling, originality and conceptual thinking.

In 2016, we were invited to present our work as part of the 21st Century in Design at Viacom exhibit in New York

Jenny’s work behind the camera has taken her to Tokyo, Tibet, and Sierra Leone. Her early short film Home is a visual tone poem of winter in New York

… And if anyone is still reading, we met while working together on the Broadway musical Wicked doing video projection design with projection designer Elaine McCarthy. A two-year, long distance relationship ensued, and then we were living in the same city, and then we found ourselves collaborating on a title sequence for Jason Reitman’s first feature, and then sixteen years later, we found ourselves making this website.
